Empowering Education By Reasoning with Robots

This is an exploration of engineering, computer programming basics, and Engineering Design Process. Students document progress in an Engineer’s Journal. The activities will culminate in a day at MUSC Health Professions and Research Center to see robots in occupational therapy. Goal: greater understanding of communication skills, group work, importance of planning, future career options in engineering, and the chance to develop technology skills and programming basics.

Sept. 24, 2011

This week I met with Mrs. Kainz who teaches 5th and 6th grade STEM. She is going to meet with me every Friday after school to build robots and help me with my activities. I feel like with her advice I will be much more successful with my class this year!! I am currently studying effective teaching strategies and planning out my first lesson! The classes will hopefully begin in November!!
