Empowering Education By Reasoning with Robots

This is an exploration of engineering, computer programming basics, and Engineering Design Process. Students document progress in an Engineer’s Journal. The activities will culminate in a day at MUSC Health Professions and Research Center to see robots in occupational therapy. Goal: greater understanding of communication skills, group work, importance of planning, future career options in engineering, and the chance to develop technology skills and programming basics.

Last Class before the Holidays!

Congrats to all the girls for finishing their robots! We had the opportunity to program them directly on the NXT brick today. Our next class will be the Monday we get back from Christmas Break.

I will teach the girls some LabView basics by helping them build a simple program. After they understand that--I will assign them a design challenge that uses similar steps in LabView. Once I have the program designed I will take a screen shot and post it on the blog!
